The Congressional Study Group on Europe (CSGE) was established in 2011 to facilitate Transatlantic dialogue through legislative exchanges for Members and the staff of the U.S. Congress. CSGE organizes programming on Capitol Hill and throughout Washington to provide the opportunity for the diplomatic community and Congress to foster mutual understanding on timely global issues. Through our strong relationship with the Diplomatic Advisory Council (DAC), we are able to provide novel perspectives on the impacts of international policy decisions to Congress.

PROGRAMMING
Capitol Hill Roundtable Series
The Capitol Hill Roundtable series brings subject matter experts, members of the diplomatic corps and business leaders together to speak with Members of Congress and their staff about issues important to Europe and the transatlantic partnership. Past programs have discussed security, trade, economics, and energy, to name a few. Events intentionally seek a smaller audience to provide more organic, candid discussion.
Members of Congress Study Tours to Europe
All of our Congressional Study Groups include a Study Tour component that allows legislative exchanges between bipartisan groups of lawmakers and their staff in the United States and those of our allies across the world. CSGE Study Tours provide the opportunity for a deep dive into economic and social realities, journalist and business leader perspectives, and bilateral and regional security concerns between the United States and our allies in Europe. The Study Tours also help foster bipartisan bonds which have resulted in legislative cooperation in the halls of Congress that have lasted long after the tour is over.
