Mr. Martin Blessing has been Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors of Commerzbank since May 15, 2008. Prior to this, Mr. Blessing served as Member of the Management Board Responsible for Corporate Banking of the Company since October 15, 2001. He was also Member of the Supervisory Board in various companies, including AMB Generali Holding AG, Evonik AG, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG and ThyssenKrupp Services AG.

Blessing holds a degree in Management from Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universitaet Frankfurt am Main which he gained in 1987 and also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Chicago State University as of 1988.
