CSGG: 5/6-5/12 – Sr. Congressional Staff Study Tour to Berlin and Düsseldorf

For over a decade, The Congressional Study Group on Germany has led Senior Congressional Staff Study Tours to Germany.

This Study Tour is organized in cooperation with the German Embassy in Washington, DC on behalf of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany in accordance with the Mutual Educational and Cultural Exchange Act (MECEA).

The program for the 2017 Study Tour follow the same successful Study Group model. Our delegation will meet with lawmakers, academics, and business representatives in Berlin and Düsseldorf from May 6-May 12 to discuss the changing transatlantic political and economic landscape with special focus on:

  • security and foreign policy cooperation (Russia, ISIS, and NATO in the 21st century),
  • Brexit vs. European integration,
  • the future of transatlantic trade,
  • and the changing global energy security landscape.
